Bye Bye

Synopsis

Ismael, 25 years, reaches Marseilles with his young brother Moulioud, 12 years. They leave Belleville following a family dispute of which Ismael was the cause. They settle for a few days at their uncle's and his family to organize Moulioud's departure to the homeland where he is to join their parents, who had returned to their village after the dispute. Moulioud refuses to leave and disappears with the help of his passive cousin Rhida, who hangs out with Renard, a local dangerous dealer. Hired, with the help of his uncle, as a hand on a sea port, Ismael is confronted to the ordinary racism of some of his co-workers; he betrays the care of his family, Ismael is paralyzed by his guilt. He will have to find the strength to resolve his problems and come to his young brother's rescue.
