Synopsis

Ruby grew up in an "Army brat" - never in one place for long, always the new girl in school. She feels no roots. Rafael, has also been isolated by circumstance. While he may have no parents and is far from home, he has great sense of belonging that the Latin cultures engender. The cultural differences between Rafael and Ruby are symbolised by their contrasting dance styles. At the Las Vegas dance competition, their motivations are completely different.
