Synopsis

Six detainees describe how they lived between the four walls of a tiny cell for 6 or 10 years. Deprived of the basic necessities, and forbidden to communicate, they managed to create secretly beautiful artifacts such as needles, flowers, and chess games. Rather than being a political condemnation, this documentary attempts a metaphysical reflection on man's willpower and his wish to live. It is also a work that questions representation and its limits. How to relate the experience of detention?
