Synopsis

Mastour and Zahra grew up at the delta of the Euphrates and Tiger rivers in southern Iraq. Being cousins, they are married very young. But when the first Gulf War explodes, they are forced apart as he's drafted in the army. On the battlefield, Mastour becomes friends with Riad. Mastour is gravely wounded and as he lies dying, he makes Riaz promise to Zahra, and take care of her...
