Synopsis

Sheelan, a young female doctor of Kurdish origin, returns to Iraq in 2004 to see her uncle after 20 years. She discovers he has lost the ability to speak due to a stroke. Her cousin wants to take him back to Iranian Kurdistan, but unable to convince them to go to Sweden, Sheelan decides to accompany them on their homeward trek, which will be long and full of twists and turns.

Full Description

Sheelan, a young female doctor of Kurdish origin, returns to Iraq in 2004 with her parents. She wants to see her uncle, from whom she has had no news for over 20 years. After discovering that he has lost the faculty of speech after a stroke, she decides to accompany her cousin on their homeward trek to Iran.
