Synopsis
Jamil, after spending some years abroad, comes back to his country, crushed and shattered. He is offered the position of assistant librarian in the old bookstore of the young Tarek Ben Othman. Jamil is attracted by Aicha, Tarek's widow fifteen years older than him. She is somehow uncomfortable with the feelings she has for Jamil and decides to leave the flat located on top of the bookstore. Leila, Tarek's young and rebellious wife, tired of the monotony of her life in the bookstore and in the flat, leaves her husband for a brilliant career in singing. Tarek sinks in a depression. Aicha is then forced to come back and live with her son. Jamil and Aicha are reunited. Their relationship then takes a new turn...
