Synopsis

In a remote village of the Kirghiz mountains, Mr. Light maintains the electrical system and helps the poor by providing them with electricity. He also mediates disputes among the villagers and dreams of installing wind turbines to supply the entire valley with electricity.

Full Description

They call him Mr. Light ("Svet-ake"). In this remote village of the Kirghiz mountains, he maintains the electrical system and tempers with the meters to aid for the poor. Outgoing and generous, not only does he provide them with electricity, but he also listens, advises, eases the pain and mediates through the marital disputes of these marginalized villagers. His dream: to install wind turbines atop the mountains and provide the entire valley with electricity.
