Synopsis

Guided by the melancholy voice of Beirut, we travel into its past. Images and sounds from a time long gone are evoked. The city and its inhabitants thus conjured rise from the ashes. A young man is singing of love and revenge. His song leads us into a legendary, fairy tale space dominated by the tragic figure of Zeinab. Her story is one of death and violence, grief and forgiveness, of the astonishing and eternal power of life.
